Co-Founder, Managing Partner

Joshua Tandy

Josh an expert in contract negotiation; compliance adherence; secured and tiered finance; securities regulation; estate planning for high-network families and individuals; corporate governance; merger and acquisition transactions; and nonprofit governance and compliance. Prior to founding BUILD with Brent and Preston, Josh was a partner NEXO Capital Partners (“NEXO”) where he still remains an equity owner. While at NEXO, Josh led international business development, transactional, and ex ante executional strategies as NEXO’s in-house counsel. Prior to his time at NEXO, Josh was an associate and global team manager at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he worked within its
Private Wealth Management subdivision. During his time at Goldman Sachs & Co., Josh partnered with firm-wide stakeholders to proactively manage the firm’s exposure to risk; review, negotiate, and opine on the offering of new products for its high net worth clientele; and deliver quality trading, settlement, and other related services to its global teams.

Brent Jacobsen

Brent is an expert technologist and business strategist. He has over 16 years of experience growing businesses across a variety of different industries. He has created, financed, managed, operated and sold multiple businesses. He led marketing strategy for Intel, and most recently was a Founding Partner with Jacobsen Ventures. As a Partner at BUILD Capital, Brent oversees BUILD Labs – which develops new technology initiatives, creates relationships with strategic technology partners, manages the implementation of international technology projects, and incubates any technology startups in our portfolio.

Preston Andrew

Preston is an expert marketer, business strategist, and proven entrepreneur with nearly a decade of experience founding and scaling ventures. While studying Mass Communications and Journalism at Utah Valley University, he recognized the untapped opportunity of digital marketing and local search engine optimization—emerging fields in the early 2000s—and focused on being early mover in these high-growth arenas. Since then, he has consulted for top Utah companies (including Adobe, Overstock, and Lucid Press) and been recognized in publications such as Forbes and Crowdfund Investing for Dummies. A former member of Overland Group’s management team, Preston now serves as Co-Founder of Build Capital Partners, where he helped launch Pure Healthcare—growing it from zero to over $300 million in revenue across three healthcare service companies. Known for his flair in brand creation, marketing infrastructure, and recruiting high-impact executive teams, Preston remains passionate about social impact, helping lead the Build Together Foundation and advising the Promise2Live Suicide Prevention nonprofit.
