Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information BUILD Capital Partners (“BUILD,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, our investor portal, and the internal tools we operate for BUILD and our portfolio companies.

Information we collect

• Contact and business information you give us, such as your name, email, phone number, company and role.
• Investor information needed to administer an investment, such as identity, tax and account details, and investment records.
• Financial account information. When an authorized officer of BUILD or one of our portfolio companies connects a business bank account to our internal treasury tools, we receive account balances, transactions and account details for that business account through Plaid Inc.
• Technical information such as IP address, browser type and sign-in records, collected when you use our website or portal.

How we use information

• To administer investments and communicate with investors.
• To manage cash, report balances and reconcile financial records for BUILD and its portfolio companies.
• To secure our systems, prevent fraud and meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use financial account information for advertising or marketing.

Plaid

We use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to connect business bank accounts. By connecting an account, you authorize Plaid to collect data from your financial institution and share it with us under Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy, available at plaid.com/legal. Accounts are connected only with the authorization of the company that owns them. We use read-only access and cannot move money through Plaid.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business (such as cloud hosting, identity, fund administration and tax preparation), with the portfolio company that owns a connected account, and where required by law. Service providers may use the information only to provide their service to us.

How we protect information

We encrypt data in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest, restrict access by role with single sign-on and multi-factor authentication, and keep our systems patched. Our controls are described in our Information Security Policy.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements, generally no longer than seven years after an investment or account relationship ends. When a connected account is no longer needed, we disconnect it and delete its access credentials within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to disconnect a linked account, by emailing invest@buildcapitalpartners.com. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them as required. We may keep information we are legally required to retain.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
