Brent Jacobsen

Brent Jacobsen is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of BUILD Capital Partners. Since co-founding the firm in 2018, he has worked with BUILD's investors in the United States, Chile and abroad, and he is helping build Aguas Patillo, a seawater desalination project on the coast of northern Chile. Brent also designed the data and AI systems BUILD uses to manage its portfolio work.

Brent co-founded Pure Infusion, BUILD's first investment, in 2018, and has spent eight years inside its operations. He was the company's first Chief Operating Officer and later its Chief Technology Officer, and he has served on its board since its founding, staying deep in the business the way BUILD works with every company it backs. Today he builds and runs the systems Pure's teams use every day, from drug formulary and margin tools to referral intake, revenue cycle, payer policy tracking and the financial reporting its leadership works from, and he leads Pure's rollout of AI across its teams. Pure Infusion was named the fastest-growing company in Utah in 2024 and again in 2025. It merged with AleraCare in partnership with Hildred Capital in November 2025 and today operates more than 75 infusion centers in 14 states.

Prior to BUILD, Brent served as Chief Technology Officer for several startups and advised founders on building their companies. He started his first business, two pizza restaurants, while completing college.

Brent received his B.S. in Economics from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, where he was a Koch Scholar, and his B.A. in Spanish from Utah State University. He received his M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. He is fluent in Spanish.
