Northern Chile is one of the driest places on earth, and its cities, mines and farms depend on water that the region does not have. Aguas Patillo is a seawater desalination project on the Tarapacá coast that BUILD has developed through BUILD Chile since 2020, together with Chilean partners.
The design includes a seawater intake, a treatment plant and storage on the coast, and a pipeline inland.
